Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant

"gROWing up on the Grand" Kitchener Waterloo and Cambridge Rowing Clubs form a partnership to foster "gROWing up on the Grand", a youth program development strategy “gROWING up on the Grand” is a joint initiative that was formed between the two clubs to ensure youth within the Waterloo Region develop an interest in the sport of rowing. The Region of Waterloo and both rowing clubs will benefit by offering diversified programs for rowers of all ages. August 1, 2007, the Ontario Trillium Foundation announced its support for this initiative, enabling the clubs to develop and implement this program by hiring a coach to be shared by both clubs. “gROWing up on the Grand” is a multi-year initiative with a funding contribution of $149,000 from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The program is scheduled to begin this winter and will continue for five years. Check out the Press Release for the Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant.

The Kitchener Waterloo Rowing Club is across from Freeport Hospital and the Cambridge Rowing Club is located at Riverbluffs Park.

Starting Wed. Nov 11th at 5:30pm-7pm at the McPherson Centre and then Mondays starting. Nov 23rd for Members, and Non-Members can join for a small fee.

McPherson Centre is 305 King St. West Kitchener, located at the corner of King St and Water St.

 

Annual General Meeting
